Terms of Use

1. The service

Tseril is a web app for planning road trips: placing stops on a map, splitting them into days with real driving times, and sharing the plan. Browsing trips, the map and the public gallery needs no account. Creating, editing, importing or deleting a trip — and syncing it across devices — needs a free account, created with an emailed one-time code or with Google.

Your email address is your only credential, so keep access to it. There is no password to reset.

2. Your content

Your trips are yours. By creating an account and syncing them, you allow us to store, transmit and display them for the purpose of running the service for you — including restoring them on another device. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Sharing a trip creates an end-to-end encrypted link: the link itself is the key, so the service cannot read it. Publishing a trip to the public gallery is an explicit, opt-in choice that makes the trip visible to everyone, and you can unpublish at any time. By publishing you confirm that you have the right to share the content and that it is not unlawful.

3. Content rules

Content published to the gallery must not:

• be unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or harassing;
• promote illegal activity, drugs, or violence;
• contain pornography or sexual content;
• include spam, advertising, or promotional links;
• infringe anyone's rights, including privacy (e.g. posting someone's private address without consent).

We filter obviously problematic content automatically and review reports. Content that violates these rules is removed. Repeat offenders may be blocked from publishing.

4. Reporting

Anyone can report a gallery trip as spam, offensive, or illegal using the report button on the trip. We review reports and remove content that violates these terms, notifying the reporter where possible. You can also contact us directly (see below).

5. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Planning is free. Tseril Pro is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks the roadbook image export and route optimization. Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, our Merchant of Record, who is the seller on your receipt and handles the tax; card details never reach us.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the account menu (Manage subscription, the Waffo Pancake customer portal) or by emailing us. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, and no further charge is made. If we raise the price of a subscription we will tell you in advance so you can cancel before the change applies. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep Tseril available, but the service is provided "as is" and we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change, and third-party map, search and routing providers may change their coverage or accuracy. If we discontinue a feature you are paying for, we stop billing for it.

7. Liability

We are not liable for content published by users, and we act expeditiously to remove unlawful content when we become aware of it. Routes, driving times and elevation data are planning aids, not navigation instructions — always respect local traffic rules and conditions. Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu; your cloud data goes with it. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, breaks these rules, or infringes someone else's rights.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above always reflects the current version, and significant changes — for example to subscriptions — will be announced in the app before they apply.

10. Who we are

Tseril is a personal project run by an independent developer (a sole operator, not a company). There is no office and no support desk: the contact address below reaches the person who builds and runs the service.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Nothing in them removes the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence — in particular the EU/UK rights described in our Refund Policy, which always apply where they give you stronger rights. If something goes wrong, please contact us first; most issues are settled in one email.

12. Language

These terms are published in English and in Simplified Chinese. The English version is the authoritative one; the Chinese version is provided so that readers can understand the agreement in their own language. This does not reduce any mandatory right you have where you live — see §11.
